Aleksandar Mitrovic, an Al-Hilal striker from Serbia, lauded the Riyadh Derby as the greatest derby of his career.

With two late goals in the game to go along with his teammate Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s goal in the 64th minute, Mitrovic helped his team defeat archrival Al-Nassr 3-0 on Friday night in front of their captain, Cristiano Ronaldo.
In front of over 50,000 spectators at King Fahd International Stadium and millions more watching on television throughout the globe, the thrilling game saw league leaders Al-Hilal secure three points, increasing their lead over Al-Nassr, in second place, to seven points.

Mitrovic said after the game: “To be honest, I don’t think I’ve played in a better derby. It was amazing, truly amazing. I’ve played derbies in many countries, but if this isn’t the best, it’s definitely at the top.
“The pressure before the match, the atmosphere with the fans before the match, was truly amazing and something special.”

Aleksandar Mitrović, who joined from Fulham in the summer, now has 13 goals in 13 Saudi league games after his brace against Al-Nassr.
He added: “I think we scored the first goal at the right time, and we defended well as a team.

“The second goal killed the game, and the third goal as well. I could have even scored a hat trick with a bit of luck. Our fans make me happy, and I hope to continue making them happy.”
