Preview Al Tai vs Al Ittihad

When Al Tai and Al Ittihad play at Prince Abdul Aziz bin Musa’ed Stadium in Ha’il, both teams have the opportunity to snap a three-match losing streak in the Saudi Pro League.

Following a 3-0 loss at Damac last week, Faris Al Shamal dropped to 14th place in the standings, only one point above the relegation zone, while the defending league champions lost 5-2 at Al-Nassr on Boxing Day after giving up three goals in the second half.
Although Al Tai had been winning league games before to that, a month that started well for the Ha’il team has now devolved into the same old same old. Al Tai is currently on a three-match losing streak.

This squad has struggled with consistency recently; since May of last season, they have only won three or more straight domestic games while losing four of those matches.
Al Tai has won four games at Prince Abdul Aziz Musa’ed Stadium and is just four points away from home in this tournament, which helps them stay above the relegation zone.

Al Tai vs Al Ittihad, Head to Head

Only three points separate Laurentiu Reghecampf’s team from Al Fayha in 11th place, so while they are in danger of dropping to the bottom of the table, they might also rise rapidly.

Despite their struggles to consistently produce winning performances, they have played close in several of their games; this season, they have lost four domestic games by a single goal and given up the winning goal twice in stoppage time.
This season, in the Saudi top division, all but three of their points have been earned while they were either equal or ahead after 45 minutes. Their most recent home victory came on November 24, after falling behind Al Raed 2-1 at the half (4-3 victory).
After dropping their past five games across all competitions, Al Ittihad seemed to be in dire need of a vacation from football.

With just twelve games left, Al-Numoor is presently 22 points behind the leaders Al-Hilal, making it unlikely that they can win the league again.
In the Saudi top league this season, all but three of their points were earned while they were tied or ahead at the half-hour mark. On November 24, they triumphed 4-3 at home after trailing Al Raed 2-1 at the half. This was their most recent victory.
Al Ittihad appeared in desperate need of a football holiday after losing their last five games in all competitions.

It seems improbable that Al-Numoor will win the league again, as they are now 22 points behind the leaders Al-Hilal with just twelve games remaining.

In their last five encounters in the Saudi Pro League, they have won four of them and have not given up a point in any of those wins.

Team News

Following two cautions in their loss to Damac, Bernard Mensah will not be available for Al Tai, and Abdulkarim Al-Sultan may have suffered a cruciate ligament injury.

The latest player to score for them in a domestic match is Tariq Mohammed, who did so on December 8 during a 2-1 loss to Al-Hilal.

Al Ittihad will be without Ahmed Bamsaud due to a knock, Omar Hawsawi, Luiz Felipe, Ahmed Hegazi, and Suwailem Al-Manhali due to unspecified ailments, while Fabinho, who was given two yellow cards in the loss to Al-Nassr, will not play.
With his ninth and tenth goals of the domestic season in their loss to Al-Nassr, Abderrazak Hamdallah moved ahead of Karim Benzema for the team lead. The 2022 Ballon d’Or winner had not scored in his past three league games.
