Saudi Pro League Game : Preview Al Nassr vs Al Khaleej | Date: November 4, 2023 | Time: 23:30 Hrs. | Location: Al Awal Park at King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

As game week 12 commences, we, Proleaguefootballsaudi.com share preview of Al Nassr vs Al Khaleej scheduled for Nov. 4, 2023 at 23:30 Hrs local time.

Round 12 of the Saudi Professional League takes place on Saturday at the Al-Awwal Park Stadium. Al-Nassr and Al Khaleej square off just after making it to the King’s Cup quarterfinals.

The Al-Danah will go into the weekend hoping to defeat the home team and snap their four-match league losing streak after losing both of their home and away encounters against them last season.

Preview: Al Nassr vs Al Khaleej

In their match at the Al-Awwal Park Stadium on Tuesday, Al-Nassr defeated Al-Ettifaq 1-0 in extra time to advance through the King’s Cup round of 16.

Former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane came up big for the hosts in a game where Ali Hazazi and Anderson Talisca were sent off, scoring the game’s lone goal in the 107th minute to break the Commandos’ hearts.

Al-Nassr has now won four straight games, including a 4-3 triumph over Al Duhail in the AFC Champions League. After three games, they lead Group E with a perfect record.

After losing their first two league games to Al-Ettifaq and Al-Taawon in August, Luis Castro’s team has now gone 15 games without a loss in all competitions, with 14 wins and 1 draw.

In the Professional League standings, Al-Nassr is currently fourth with 25 points from 11 games, four points behind league leaders Al-Hilal, who have not lost a league game this season.

Al Nassr vs Al Khaleej: Head to Head

Al Khaleej, who defeated Damac on penalties at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium last Monday in the round of 16 of the King’s Cup, had to work just as hard as the hosts.

Woo-Young Jung’s opening goal from the 27th minute was canceled by Nicolae Stanciu to send the match into extra time. After 120 minutes, there was still no difference between the two teams, so penalties were used to decide the match, with the home team winning 6-5.

As the Al-Danah turn their focus to the Professional League, where they have lost two games and drawn two since a 1-0 victory at Al-Okhdood on September 22, manager Pedro Emanuel will be hoping that Monday’s result can spark a strong run of form.

Al Khaleej has only won twice in their first 11 league games, losing five and drawing four. With 10 points from these games, they are tied for 13th place in the standings with Abba and Al-Tai.

Next up is the tough task of facing a rival team that is unbeaten in their last three meetings and has only lost one of their eight meetings, with four wins and three draws since August 2014. The Saihat team will aim to build on their cup win and establish themselves in the Professional League.

Team News

The Brazilian forward Talisca, who received a straight red card in the cup victory over Al-Ettifaq last Tuesday, is currently suspended and will not play for Al-Nassr.

Before Tuesday, Talisca had scored 14 goals in 10 games. This season, he has been one of the Z’s best players, accounting for eight of their 31 league goals.

Together with Otavio and Mane, the 38-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo is currently leading the Professional League scoring chart with 11 league goals this season. Ronaldo should lead the Al-Nassr attack once more.

Regarding injuries, David Ospina, the seasoned goalie, will not be available for Costa. He is still sidelined following an injury he sustained back in January.

Due to suspension, Mansour Hamzi, a midfielder for Al Khaleej, will not participate in the match on Saturday after receiving a straight red card against Damac on Monday.

With Mohammed Al-Khabrani and Lisandro Lopez forming the center-back tandem and Mohamed Sherif, Khaled Narey, and Fabio Martins keeping their positions in the final third, we anticipate Emanuel to select a similar starting lineup this weekend.

Probable Line-up: Al Nassr vs Al Khaleej

Al-Nassr possible starting lineup:
Al-Najjar; Alkhaibari, Alamri, Laporte, Telles; Fofana, Al-Khaibari, Ahmed, Otavio, Mane; Ronaldo

Al Khaleej possible starting lineup:
Al-Haidari; Rebocho, Lopez, Al-Khabrani, Hamsal; Jung, Rodrigues; Narey, Abdulelah, Martins; Sherif

Our Goal Prediction: Al-Nassr 3-1 Al Khaleej

Al Khaleej will be hoping to start their league campaign strong, but Al-Nassr, who are playing at full strength right now, will be up next. Castro’s team is raging against the visitors, who have had difficulty being consistent this season, at the attacking end of the pitch, where they have scored the most goals in the league thus far (31).
